A: Yes. Amiga Forever
and C64 Forever can make use of some
features that are disabled by default
because of a high risk of not translating
into a positive user experience. For
example, in early beta versions of the
software there used to be a "4X" button to
more than double the playback size in
windowed mode. However, because positive
feedback was mostly silent and negative
feedback about slow performance was
prevalent, the feature was removed.
If you feel like you have a more powerful
computer, and accept that features like 4X
playback size and skin translucency can have
a negative impact on performance, feel free
to create and set the following DWORD
registry value to 0:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cloanto\Amiga
Forever\2009.0\CPUIntensiveFeatures
If using a newer version, replace "2009" with the major
version number.
